The Greater Rochester International Auto Show acts as a sort of time machine, transporting patrons to what their congested morning rush might look like in 10 years. Some might even remember when the event showcased some hybrid vehicle called the Prius a few years back. I'm not sure if that ever took off, but there looks to be something here for the whole family. Kids can even look forward to meet-and-greets with SpongeBob Squarepants, or Spike and Mitsi of the Rochester Red Wings. Meanwhile adults can check out RIT's Formula SAE race car, built by the RIT racing team. For tuner car aficionados, Accessory Row will return, showcasing smaller companies' contributions through aftermarket parts. With all the redesigned, debuting, and exotic models, car fans won't have any trouble finding something to drool over at this year's show.

The Greater Rochester International Auto Show takes place Wednesday, March 3, through Sunday, March 7, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center (123 E Main St.). Hours are Wednesday 5-10 p.m., Thursday-Friday noon-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tickets cost $3-$8, children under 5 free.
