Latin dance is a beautiful thing, but it can be tough to learn. Some of my relatives are pretty good, but when it comes time to dance at family gatherings, my legs may as well be wet noodles. Fortunately, both the uncoordinated (like me) and the more advanced dancers can enjoy sharpening their skills for getting down at this year's Rochester Salsa Weekend.

On Friday, April 30, Inikori Dance Studio will host a DJ'd pre-party with lessons and open dancing until 2 a.m. Not only can guests catch Latin dance performances, but Saturday and Sunday also feature dance workshops, as well as private lesson time with some of the performers. Performers that will be making a stop over the weekend include United Salseros, Art In Motion Latin Dancers, and Mike Andino and Estilo Dance studio.

Rochester Salsa Weekend takes place Friday, April 30, through Sunday, May 2, at Inikori Dance Studio (1100 University Ave).
