If you're at all familiar with MuCCC and the "Post-Cap" (post-capitalism) productions fronted by John Borek, you know they tend to shun all things orthodox, but the actors and audience have a heap of fun. So prepare yourself for a weekend of romance, redemption, reincarnation, and likely, a welcome touch of ridiculousness, a la the Bard and Borek et al.

Catch "The Tempest" on Friday, May 21, at 8 p.m.; "Cymbeline" and "The Winter's Tale" on Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively; and "Pericles" on Sunday, May 23, at 7 p.m. Four different directors will present staged readings of the mystical, magical romances, full of Shakespeare's characteristic poetry and eagle-eyed social insight. Who needs a set when the author is all about the word play, anyway?

MuCCC is located at 142 Atlantic Ave. Admission is $6 or "pay what you will" for each show, but be generous, as the performances are benefit shows for the theater. For more info, visit muccc.org.
