ART: Altered Book Workshop (5/17)
By Dale Evans on May. 14th, 2008
If you've ever hollowed out a book to create a secret hiding place, the Altered Book Workshop will inspire you to expand on that idea. An altered book is defined as any book that has been altered to become, well, something other than simply a book. After a demonstration, participants will be given
the chance to create their own book art with provided supplies. Anyone who completes their project is invited to bring it back on Saturday, May 31, for The Big Read Finale.
Workshops are offered on Saturday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 20, both at 2-4 p.m., at Rundell Library, 115 South Avenue. The workshops are free, although registration is limited. Call 428-8304 to reserve a space.
