LITERATURE: Reading for Relief (6/28)
By Dale Evans on Jun. 25th, 2008
Chances are that you're aware of the recent natural disasters in Myanmar and Sichuan, China. Perhaps you've even wondered about what you can do to help. On Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m. you'll have the opportunity to make a financial donation, while also getting to know some of Rochester's local writers. Mercy Corps, a humanitarian relief organization, presents Reading for Relief, an afternoon of poetry, fiction, and memoir readings by local authors, at First Universalist Church, 150 S Clinton Ave. If you can't make it to the event, make a donation online at mercycorps.org.
