And there's yet another ribbin' music fest. Recently Rochester seems to have hitched its wagon to ribs, determined to ride it until the very last coal burns out. Having just finished picking the meat out of our teeth from last week's Highland Park binge, this week we're invited down to the river for more. Ribbin' on the River, running Friday through Saturday, July 18-20, heats up the grills on Court Street between South Avenue and Exchange Boulevard.
I'm confused. Wasn't this the music fest that took place at High Falls right after Jazz Fest last year? And didn't some of its events take place at Highland Bowl? And wasn't there a Court Street rib fest later on in the season? Whatever. Rochester's festival politics seem highly improvised. At this time the music line-up for this event has yet to be announced, but ribs will be bar-b-queuing Friday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. & 4-10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free.
