The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Symphony Showhouse has undergone an extreme home makeover. Thirty-five local interior designers, artists, and craftsmen pooled their expertise and completely redesigned the more than 36 rooms and spaces of the George Ellwanger House.

For the short period of Friday, May 16, until Sunday, June 8, the house will be open to the public, with just about every item in the house for sale. Also look for live music throughout the run, and other events. Located on the Ellwanger Estate, 625 Mount Hope Avenue, the house will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and evenings are set aside for private tours. Advance admission is $15, $12 for children 12 and under, and $18 and $15 respectively at the door. Call 454-2100 or visit http://rposhowhouse.org/tickets.html for tickets.
