The year was 1968 and there was quite the cultural revolution going on. The grooviness of standing up to "the man" and the ever-expanding generational gap was center stage in American life. The musical "Hair" broke out into edgy song and dance that made a ruckus about just that - the life and the times. And now the production comes to SUNY Brockport, to do the same thing for a new generation fighting its own battles 40 years later.
"Hair" runs this week Thursday, April 24, through Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at the Tower Fine Arts Center Mainstage on the SUNY Brockport campus. The play continues through May 3. Tickets cost $8-$12. Call 395-2797 or visit brockport.edu/finearts for more details.
