It's a Jane Austen year. Books, movies, clubs, movies about book clubs...you name it. There is one in honor of The Jane. This week the "It" girl's most famous tale, "Pride and Prejudice," is brought to the Geva mainstage. Adapted for the Geva stage by Artistic Director Mark Cuddy Advertisementand Literary Manager and Resident Dramaturg Marge Betley, the team hopes their collaboration will offer a novel approach - pun intended - to a work that has already been reproduced numerous times.

Like most Austen works, "Pride & Prejudice" is about love, unrequited love, marriage, and the money that binds or won't bind for the lack of such. Performances begin Saturday, May 24, at 2 & 8 p.m. and continue through June 22. Tickets cost $17-$54 and are available online at gevatheatre.org or by calling the box office at 232-4382.
