Joe Hendrick is a longtime guitar player on the Rochester music scene playing with many bands of different musical tastes.
After getting the recording bug in 2003 with his bands first demo Joe Hendrick started planning a full length cd in the fall-winter of 2004. After plans fell through for a bass player Joe decided to play bass on all the songs along with all guitars and vocals. With the help of long time drumming friend John Schwittek he decided to do a test song at Roberts Recording in Walworth in the early months of 2005. All went well so they went through with the complete set of songs. After many
months of learning the songs, recording a night here, an afternoon there the cd is now out. With the help of Lane Roberts on keyboards and Daisy Hutchinson on vocals Joe Hendrick and The Mudflaps have put out a rock-n-roll array of rockabilly, country, and roots-rockin, americana type songs. "Look Back Your Way" features Daisy Hutchinson's one and only lead vocal performance with a authentic old-time Nashville sound. "The Eyes of Tammy Faye"
is a funny, mostly biographical look at the religious celebrity."Dollar Store" is a funny but honest look at the low income single mother. "American Engine" is a edgy, rowdy look at the auto and oil industry. Joe Hendrick plays you a authentic type rockabilly instrumental in "Jazzability". "Rock-N-Roll Aisle" is a song of finding that good old rock-n-roll music among the many aisles of today's varieties of styles in a music store. "I'll Let You Know" winds up the album with a funny look at the Nascar generation.
Look for Joe playing out in a rockin' country band called Dang!
