Artist Biography

Nate Hanks, a long time Rochester resident (30 years) is just entering the music scene this year. No stranger to playing music, Nate brings a fresh and orignal sound to the ethereal strings of the hammer dulcimer.  With sixteen years of dulcimer playing, he plays medleys using original tunes, and Celtic jigs and reels, with an energy and expressiveness that is sure to hold your attention.  On guitar he plays a folk-blues finger picking style, with an singing an occasional folk ballad or orignal song.  His mandolin instrumentals have folk, Celtic and South Amercian influences among others.
