SUBSOIL aims to (re)define Live-Band Hip-Hop, exploring a vast spectrum of sounds, feelings, and ideas.
‘Organic Hip-Hop Fusion’ best describes the 100% original live set, complete with improvisational keyboard, guitar, and trumpet!
Subsoil’s debut full length release entitled “Worm’s Eye View” aims to spread their progressive hip-hop gospel to Every Town USA, to any listener willing to experience it. This traveling medicine show loves to rome.
The 2 Vocalists Laz Green & Moon Roc experiment with a many styles of rhythmic poetry, fitting for this multi-genre motley crew of ruthless hobos. Moon raps truth to power, with introspective insight, & sprawling soliloquies, displaying allegoric rhythmic trickery. Laz, with razor sharp, biting inflection delivers enticing, visceral wordplay, & intense imagery. The two front-men are constantly crafting their trade while the Subsoil band keeps it humming and evolving. Every session Jay, Ted, Craig, Jared and Katie manifest the ever growing library of soil vibrations. Steeped in the lore of their chosen weapons Subsoil remains true to the groove, getting down all the way, all day, all the way live, 24/7/365! The Soil tribe has been described as “stem-winding salesmen who know every razzle-dazzle switch in the pitchman's trade.”
Put simply Subsoil blends hip-hop & groove rock elements, keeping it musically diverse while infusing lyric-driven stimulation.
