C'mon silly, Did you really think he was coming? Dubbed "Best MC of 2008" by Rolling Stone, hip-hopper Lil' Wayne apparently can't be bothered with Rochester, as it was announced yesterday that his Wednesday, January 21 performance at Blue Cross Arena -- the third attempt at a show first scrapped this past summer -- is a no-go, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts.
Rumors had been flying that if ticket holders wanted refunds, they would have to do so prior to February 6. Blue Cross Arena General Manager Jeff Calkins says that isn't true, there is no deadline. But Calkins expects that most people will return their tickets, which ranged from $45 to $100, and says that he prefers that they do, since they are looking at re-scheduling the show for another date that they will issue new tickets for.
That's right, another date.
"The promoters are keeping their options open and are discussing another date, and when that date comes we'd like the fans to have a new ticket," Calkins says.
