CONCERT UPDATE: Molly Hatchet replaces Dickey Betts at Party in the Park

It's a rough start for the 2009 Party in the Park series: Southern rock legend Dickey Betts, long ago announced as the headliner for the Thursday, June 11, concert, is out, replaced by Molly Hatchet with openers Los Blancos. The show runs 5-10 p.m. at the Riverside Festival Site at Court Street and Exchange Boulevard; admission is free.

The rest of the 2009 Party in the Park season is scheduled as follows:

June 18: Cracker and the Old 97s

June 25: Medeski Martin & Wood w/Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad

July 2: Skycoasters and Buddhahood w/CJ Chenier andt he Red Hot Louisiana Band

July 9: Average White Band w/The God Rats

July 16: Miachel Franti and Spearhead w/Carney

July 23: Badfish (Sublime tribute band) w/Scotty Don't

July 30: TBD

August 6: Gov't Mule
