John Mayer's latest is an artistic gem that stands out amongst those of his peers. The young singer/songwriter proves that he is one of the forefront voices of his generation while throwing listeners back to the music of generations past. Mayer is unafraid of criticizing the government in songs like "Belief" and the hit single "Waiting On the World to Change." In "Belief" he sings, "What puts the soldier's flag inside his mother's hand? Belief can." Mayer pays homage to one of music's greatest, Jimi Hendrix, in his remake of the metaphorical "Bold as Love." Both "Stop This Train" and "Heart of Life" are remnants of that uplifting John Lennon sound of the '70s. Mayer's guitar playing simply touches the soul and conveys a different emotion on every track. The last song is titled "I'm Gonna Find Another You," but one thing's for sure: he has proven yet again that we will never find another him. So please keep them coming.
