ELECTION ACTION 2008

Quicker than John McCain's temper! More powerful than the national debt! Able to leap direct questions with a wink and a hearty "You betcha!"

It's a bird! It's a sea plane! It's Election Action 2008! - our stylistic-yet-you-bet-it's-substantive approach to election coverage this year. We told our team of writers and illustrators to create a comprehensive, eye-splitting, kick-your-ass guide to key local, state, and national races. "Election Action" is the result.

"A comic book?" Sure, this election is as important as any word ending in "-oma," but if you can't have a little fun when the world is at stake, what's the point of pushing air?

Besides, it's all a bit of a performance, isn't it? Joe the plumber isn't really a plumber. Heck, he isn't even a "Joe." And sister Sarah, our self-described hockey mom and VP wannabe, has two vacation retreats and a net worth around $1 million.

Now that's show biz.
