IRAQ TOTALS - 4349 US servicemen and servicewomen, 318 Coalition servicemen and servicewomen, and approximately 93,492 to 102,016 Iraqi civilians have been killed in Iraq from the beginning of the war and occupation to October 9.

American servicemen and servicewomen killed September 29 to October 6:

-- Spc. Paul E. Andersen, 49, Dowagiac, Mich.

-- Maj. Tad T. Hervas, 48, Coon Rapids, Minn.

AFGHANISTAN TOTALS - 869 US servicemen and servicewomen and 579 Coalition servicemen and servicewomen have been killed in Afghanistan from the beginning of the war and occupation to October 9. Statistics for Afghani civilian casualties are not available.

American servicemen and servicewomen killed September 30 to October 4:

-- Staff Sgt. Vernon W. Martin, 25 Savannah, Ga.

-- Sgt. Justin T. Gallegos, 27, Tucson, Ariz.

-- Sgt. Joshua M. Hardt, 24, Applegate, Calif.

-- Sgt. Joshua J. Kirk, 30, South Portland, Maine

-- Sgt. Michael P. Scusa, 22, Villas, N.J.
