Lt. Daniel Choi, a West Point graduate and Iraq war veteran, will speak tonight at the University of Rochester. Choi will speak about the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy at 7 p.m. at Hutchison Hall's Hubbell Auditorium on the River Campus. A question and answer period will follow Choi's talk.
Choi was discharged from the military last spring after disclosing on a television show that he is gay.
President Obama has stated that he intends to end the controversial "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
Tickets for Choi's appearance are $5 for UR students and $7 for the general public. They can be purchased at the UR's Common Market in Wilson Commons, or at Equal Grounds at 750 South Avenue. Information: mgrecolo@ur.rochester.edu.
