As early as next month, members of City Council will consider legislation to install red-light traffic cameras at city intersections.
Camera placement would be determined by traffic volume and accident rates. Only licenses plates would be recorded, as New York State law prohibits the cameras from photographing drivers.
All potential violations would be reviewed by the Rochester Police Department before citations are issued.

Check out Arizona. I believe they have it and reaped a bundle. Problem was that there were more rear end accidents. Check the timing on the yellow lights. Too short, then what happens. Florida, as I understand, the people just slowed down and stopped, costing, whichever city it was more to the private companies that were paid to keep track of vehicles running a red light and issuing the ticket, than they took in. Something to think about.

I might be on-board, presuming that 100% of the "proceeds" get donated to charity. ;-)
