Two finalists in the search for the next president of Monroe Community College are also finalists in searches at other community colleges.

Kenneth Ender, president of Cumberland Community College in New Jersey, is under consideration for the president's job at Greenville Technical College in South Carolina. Laurence Spraggs, president of Broome Community College in Binghamton, is a finalist at Manatee Community College in Florida and Macomb Community College in Michigan.

MCC faculty, staff, and students are alarmed that the college board of trustees added to the list of finalists former Republican County Legislator Bill Smith - who is said to have the inside track - and Dennis Kessler, a restaurateur and adjunct business professor at the University of Rochester.
