From the Guardian in London: Concern about a US-British attack on Iran is growing in the United Nation. The Guardian says Mohamed ElBaradei, the UN's chief nuclear-weapons inspector, and others are "attempting to slow down what seemed to be an accelerating march to war."
"He is really alarmed," a UN official said of ElBaradei. "He sees this thing going out of control. The feeling around here is that this looks like the run-up to the Iraq war."

What is most missing in the fields of current and prospective political leadership is honest perspective. That is, getting it right about what is of most importance vs. lesser importance. ElBaradie gets it right and is a rare exception. The Democrat and Chronicle does report this story, and very well. Unfortunately it, and two other stories of international moment, are on the back page of the A section. Three local and one state story occupy the front page. Of course we will attack Iran. If Bush has a dumb idea, it will eventually be done. Remember this is not about nation building because the US doesn't do that. This is about destroying another country so it can be rebuilt with the US's economic and political plans.

I agree that US and UK are planning to attack Iran but such an attack won't accomplish its goal. It will just bring more bloodshed to the region. Check out the polls at www.farsinews.com - over 70% of Iranians beleive that their Government is not a democratic government - and yet at the same time, over 75% of Iranians believe Iranian Government is entited to Nuclear Weapons to protect Iran's integrity.

Hey Ismael, thanks for the comments. I checked www.farsinet.com/epolls and found the polls very interesting.
