There are big changes coming to the Rochester/High Falls International Film Festival. First: a new name. The festival will now be known as 360 | 365. Executive Director John Richardson says the new name represents the organization's growing year-round presence and appeal to all audiences.
When the festival began eight years ago, its focus was on women in the filmmaking industry. That will continue to be the focus of a portion of the festival, but organizers say that they also want to broaden the fest's reach.
"We are accessible and relevant to all audiences of all ages and interests - truly 360 degrees of film, 365 days a year," Richardson says.
The 360 | 365 film festival will continue to be held annually in May, but it will now also feature a year-round shorts contest and New Director Series.
