ARTS: Meet Sonia Gutowski tonight

The Creative Wellness Center is hosting a retrospective of artist Sonia Gutowski's work. The opening is tonight (Friday, November 6), from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Center, 320 North Goodman Street, Suite 201. Admission is free.

Gutowski, who has been in Monroe Community Hospital recovering from a stroke, will be at tonight's reception.

Approximately 75 works will be on display and for sale. Gutowski works in acrylics and watercolors, and also does pastel drawings. The works cover Gutowski's career from 1947 to 2009.

Gutowski is one of the founders of the Pittsford Art Group, and has been an art teacher at the Rochester Psychiatric Center for more than 20 years. She's also the Center's resident artist.
