City Council member Carla Palumbo says she's definitely not running for Susan John's Assembly seat and that a Smugtown Beacon report insinuating otherwise is wrong.
The author, Christopher Wilmot, served alongside Palumbo in the county Legislature. Clearly there's some history and, it seems, some sour grapes as well.
The only declared candidates for the 131st Assembly District at this point are County Legislator Harry Bronson and city school board member Willa Powell, both Democrats.
