At last, a piece of good news out of Albany.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is recusing himself from the investigations of Governor David Paterson, turning the job over to the highly respected Judith Kaye, the state's former chief judge.
It's a mystery why Cuomo ever thought he should head the investigation. Everybody knows he's going to run for governor, so the conflict of interest is clear.
Celebrate, then, both his backing out and the quality of the person who is taking on this distasteful job.
But seems like we should worry that Cuomo - who will probably promise to bring ethics to Albany - took so long to make this move.

Good point, should have done it sooner. Maybe he knew by recusing himself anytime earlier would have been another unofficial guarantee that he was running for gov.
