I was so disappointed in the article on Eco Bella Bakery on South Avenue (February 18). The writer failed to mention that it is the only completely vegan (meaning free of dairy, eggs, and other animal by-products) bakery in the Rochester area.
Yes, about half the baked goods they produce are gluten-free, but everything is vegan. As a vegan, learning about Eco Bella opening in my neighborhood was like getting a big, shiny Christmas present, as the only other completely vegan bakeries I have encountered have been in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
It is unfortunate that you did not let your vegan readers know this information, and it is a disservice to Eco Bella as a new business that could really use the press.
