Custard at Abbott's is an important part of the complete Rochester experience. (If you're from out of town, or live in a dungeon locally, custard is like soft ice cream, but richer and thicker). Choosing a flavor is easy; there are just 3 or 4 flavors of homemade custard each day, plus a couple each of gourmet custard and frozen yogurt. The tough decision making comes with the sundaes-11 different varieties on the menu, not to mention the various mix-ins to choose from. For a real treat, try a turtle: custard on a stick, with peanuts and caramel, dipped in chocolate. Hours vary according to the season.

This is the best 'ice cream' in the world....even as good or better than the gelato in Italy.I had 5 visits to Abbottsin my 6 day stay back home in Roch.It is always the first place my friends take me when I get there!!! Miss it now I'm back in Fl.
