Established in 1973 and family-owned and -operated, Arigato is the largest Japanese restaurant in Rochester. If you want to experience entertainment with your food, then Arigato is a must. With hibachi tables at every turn and food flying, this place is like a circus. Sizzling steaks are prepared right in front of you, with the option of a fresh California roll on the side. Make sure to take home a custom-made Arigato picture holder with a picture of you and your guest as a souvenir.

I personally love it there.Arigato's is a place to go for a special occasion,in my opinion. It isn't all that costly,if you remember you are getting a performance while they cook your food. As for "Heather"s review,I'm not sure what she compared that to for it to be "standard" but obviously someone has no idea how to enjoy a good show or good food. All in all it is a fantastic place, and "Heather" obviously got her review mixed up with some corner dive she frequents.

What can I say. The food was salty and unimaginative, hibatchi show was pretty standard, dining room needs serious updating, drinks were too sweet and not fast coming enough to make up for the food, kitchy (not in a good way), overspriced for the quality. I really hate to slam a place as much as I hate to rave unquestioningly but, for $80 for two... go somewhere else.
