Astoria offers gyros and other Greek-American specialties in a casual, friendly atmosphere. The three dip combo (tzatziki, hummus, and fire feta) is a reliable way to start a meal, while the beef souvlaki pita provides a filling lunch. The less adventurous can order locally inspired dishes such as the Original Rochester burger, a take on the plate in burger fromat. You can end your meal with Galaktouboureko, a dish I've not seen on any Rochester menu. It's similar to baklava in that it includes phyllo dough, but has a thick layer of Greek custard to sink your teeth into, rather than a layer of nuts.

My husband and enjoyed the Greek decor and music almost as much as we did the food. We tried the saganaki, calamari, spanakopita, and lemon roasted potatoes, and liked them all, especially the potatoes, which topped the ones I sampled in a much pricier restaurant in Astoria, Queens a few years ago. We would gladly have gone on to the galaktoubouriko dessert, except that the dinner portions were so generous, we had to quit and take our leftovers home. We had a great Greek lunch the next day. OPA!

I have not been to this restaurant but they deliver where I work. The food is absolutely phenomenal!! A lot of the food is more nutritious than a burger and fries and you can get a decent sized lunch for under $7. The hummus is spicy and delicious, the pitas are fresh and filling. You could order something different every day for a month and not have the same thing twice. I just can't say enough good things about the food. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is by far the best Greek restaurant in town. The humus is great, the salads fresh, and the soups are flavorful. I eat here at least once a week. The service? Always a smile and always treated like a special guest. If you have not stopped in.... please do, you are really missing something fabulous!
