Our local version of Texas-style barbecue, with very good barbecued brisket, as well as New Orleans fare and good wings. Great selection of sides, and a fun place to hang. Live music as many as four nights a week (the blues, naturally, but Cajun and more as well).

I had a disastrous meal there with my children a few months ago. Almost immediately upon being seated, a waitress tripped and fell while carting away the messy plates of another table. The waitress barely offered any help as I had to clean off my shirt. A manager never came over to offer any apologies. I sent the manager of the Beale Street a letter later, and got NO reply. Lousy food, messy service, and no acknowledgement of a mess made on me as a patron = never again!

This restaurant is just OK. It's in a no-atmosphere, soul-less location (Empire Blvd) so maybe that affects my opinion. The inside still like a fast food joint. The food is not as good as their South Wedge location (I don't know why!). I also prefer both Dinosaur and Sticky Lips, but barbecue is a personal thing. Just don't go here expecting a dining experience.

After 2 or 3 visits, I am underwhelmed by this restaurant. Their barbecue and Cajun style food is just OK, but priced as much better. Waitstaff service is perfunctory.
