Our local version of Texas-style barbecue, with very good barbecued brisket, as well as New Orleans fare and good wings. Great selection of sides, and a fun place to hang. Live music as many as four nights a week (the blues, naturally, but Cajun and more as well).

We give Beale Street 5 stars because of the combination of the people, the music, the atmosphere, and the food. The food (lately) has gone from 5 to 4 stars, but the bar is as friendly as it gets. The atmosphere is friendly, fun, and funky. The music varies from great to very good (unless there are horns, in which rare case the place is too small). Bar service is top notch, the beer selection is changing and good.
We like the catfish, the pulled pork, the greens, and the terrific chili! Please bring back the blackened prime rib!
Friendly service, good drinks, great food, good music, and it feels like New Orleans!
