Benucci’s is a locally owned version of chain Italian restaurants like the Olive Garden. The value is decent, the food strongly flavored and fairly good. It’s the kind of place that, if you like, you’re likely to return to again and again. If you’re considering the Olive Garden or the Macaroni Grill, try Benucci’s instead; you’ll keep your money in the local economy.

Food was great, atmosphere was great. Much better value than other restaurants in the area. Service was quick, but not rushed. Great experience.

Awful service and chicken came uncooked. They offered to pay for the one dish. I sent a letter to the owner and never received a response. I have been two times before this and I was not impressed. The menu is not interesting. I do not recommend this restaurant.

My family went to Benucci's for a family birthday dinner last night. We have been there four or five times before and enjoyed the food. They have remodeled since we were there and it was pleasant. But I really feel we got worked over last night. Perhaps there is new management? We ordered two bottles of red wine (which was priced 4 times the retail cost- but we were celebrating...so we ordered it anyway) and were given short squat vermouth glasses to drink from! The waitress said that was what they use now! Hard to believe an Italian restaurant does not have the proper glassware for chilled wine! Then we sat for 20 minutes after we ordered and had to ask for bread after the salad was served. There were no bread plates and we had to ask for them. The House Salad which we paid $4.00 extra for, consisted of one cherry tomato cut in half and some limp lettuce with a few thin onion rings. Pathetic. The main entree was good, but I was shocked at the change in serving size! They used to serve their pasta entrees in large bowls and I always had some to take home. Now there was about a cup of pasta on a small plate with scant toppings. My husband was still hungry after dinner. We will never go back there. We felt totally ripped off.

We have eaten here several times with family and friends. The food is always pretty good, not fabulous, but worth the price. The bruschetta appetizer is delicious and the pizzas are great. Service has always been excellent. If you are looking for a good meal that's at a local (not chain) restaurant and that won't cost you an arm and a leg, try Bennuci's. Many people seem to agree as the place is always packed on Friday or Saturday night.

We used to love Benucci's. The food was always wonderful, the service excellent and the restaurant clean. The last time we went, however, was the complete opposite.

We walked in on a quiet night, waited quite a while to be seated despite the fact there were numerous empty tables, and then waited a good 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. My husband and I both ordered a glass of white wine. When it arrived, I looked at the rim of the glass and saw lipstick (not mine). I flagged our wait person and pointed it out, and she took it and apologized. Several minutes later she brought me another glass, and it too had lipstick on it. And it was definitely NOT the same glass I was served the first time.

I can see one dirty glass happening every now and then. With all the industrial strength lipstick on the market these days I get that this can happen. But TWO? Um, no. One is no big deal. Two means your kitchen is dirty. No thanks.

We got up and left and will never be back.
