Carey Lake has become much more than a roadside restaurant serving comfort food and homemade ice cream. Bruce Carey built an expansive and elegant Victorian banquet hall next door, which looks out on a large pond and gazebo. Carey Lake is just inside Wayne County on Route 441. Bruce also has a carousel organ in the restaurant that fills the place with a nostalgic air. He also loves vintage cars, old movies, and sing-alongs. This sense of the simpler and friendlier days of the past permeates the atmosphere at Carey Lake.
