There are those who sneer at Rochester’s lack of New York City-style, thin-crust pizza. And then there is Howard Nielsen, who fell in love with Chicago’s deep-dish pizzas as a youngster and started Chester Cab here to spread the love. It’s a damn good pizza. Just for fun, Chester Cab makes some of the best wings in town, too (the battered variety).

Their slices aren't my style, but I love their actual pizza! Their sauce is out of this world, very sweet and distinctive! The sauce alone keeps bringing me back!

This place is definitely hit or miss. When the food is good it's REALLY good; far superior in quality to most Rochester pizza joints, and a very distinctive taste.
When they miss, it's lousy and good luck getting your order fixed- service is pretty much always crappy. I avoid placing complicated orders and go for pick up over delivery on busy nights.
