This "buffet style" restaurant is merely a vaguely Chinese version of the typical "squat and gobble", as seen in places like Homestyle Buffet and a myriad of other such chains throughout the country. There are always heaping trays of mediocre (and uninspired) asian restaurant-style dishes, as well as a lot of other high-fat and high-carb American-style "comfort foods", like Salisbury steak and mac&cheese. While nothing there was truly dreadful (although the not-too-fresh mussels came close), nothing there was really very good, either.
What you get for your money is a haphazardly wiped-down table (often the seats are still damp from being spritzed with cleaner), soft drinks served in chipped and scratched old plastic glasses, and lots of obese people heading to the buffet like cows to the trough. A lousy meal for a low price, but at least you'll be in and out in less than 30 minutes!
