Dark Horse serves only fair-trade, organic coffees in its extensive selection of hot, iced, and blended cafe beverages, and 100 percent crushed fruit in each smoothie. Breakfast items, specialty sandwiches, soup, salads, and baked goods such as muffins, scones, and brownies fill the menu, served all day. Check in for daily specials and keep an eye out for the horseshoe marking signature sandwiches such as the ranchero roast beef panini (roasted red pepper sauce, provolone, roast beef, tomato, romaine lettuce, and sauteed onions) and the turkey BLT wrap. Grab something to go - a slice of breakfast pizza or a peanut butter, Nutella, and jelly sandwich are quick and portable - or stay in for the atmosphere, overlooking the Village Gate courtyard.
