Located across the street from Aquinas High School, Dark Horse Coffee opened in spring 2009, and since then has been making strides to feed and caffeinate Rochester with uncomplicated ingredients. No syrups, no junk, just simple, satisfying food and locally roasted coffee. Menu favorites include the pesto chicken panini, as well as the Cajun chicken panini. Also popular is the four-berry smoothie, a 100 percent crushed fruit delight that cannot be mistaken for the fake-n-shakes you can get at other shops. This cozy, home-spun coffee spot has free wi-fi, encourages long visits, and takes comfort very seriously.
