Local chain with four locations. Instead of having a signature crust, Guida's lets you choose your own: regular, thick, NYC thin, or pan-risen Sicilian style. Vegetarian options, specialty subs, burgers, tacos, sandwiches, pasta and more round out the menu, making this more than just a pizza place.

It seems like every time I go in there they do something wrong with my order..I can't stand it. Definitely not the best Rochester. Best try somewhere where the real pizza's at like Cam's.

Unhappy people. Great pizza but staff is unfriendly. Had 2 or 3 run ins with them. Need to treat customers better..

I don't have the problems that other people have with Guidas Penfield. I think their pizza is on par with others, albeit a little more expensive. We usually make our own pizza, which quite honestly blows any pizza joint away because my wife is a bread baker and I make a MEAN sauce. My favorite pizza which was invented by my freind Dave at the Penfield Pontillo's back in the mid 80's is the Pontillo's Zesty, which was originally called The Zest. It's a garlic pizza with the regular red sauce over it. There's not a pizza joint in Rochester that can replicate it. I will say after 15 years of traveling the country for my job that pizza in Rochester BLOWS AWAY ANY PIZZA FROM NYC< CHICAGO or anywhere else. I can say the same about chicken wings, Fairport Village Inn being the best ever. I've been to Duff's and Fairport Village Inn is soooo much better. Anyhow, Guida's is great but pricey. They make a solid pie, as do most of the pizza joints in Rochester. You may have an off night, but that goes for everywhere.
