When my friend wanted to go out for Jamaican food, I knew it would have to be good. He is Jamaican and CAN COOK. The server was angelic facing my fierce friend; HE was relentlessly specific about how his Jamaican food should be served.

First came the tropical style carrot juice that was so good we couldn't turn it away even though it wasn't the pulpy thick Jamaican carrot juice we expected. The juices were freshly made and well decorated.

Next came the salad and festival fries. We were so hungry then that those items quickly vanished. My friend got the oxtail, very meaty, not greasy. I had the Callaloo. LOVE at first sight. I love greens. Oh, I'm a vegetarian and left satisfied and stuffed on the tangy, savory, tasty callaloo, dumplings, and plantains. Thank you so much Ms. P.S. for cooking us a great dinner and for being so sweet to us.

let me first by saying, i love trying out new foods. each weekend me and a couple friends would get together and decide on a new and exciting place to eat. we decided to try island fresh cuisine. first thing we noticed when we arrive was how empty it was on a friday night, never really was a good sign, but we went in anyways. the waitress was polite and seated us quickly, we browse thru the menu and for starters, i went with the beef patty, chicken stripe jerk and batter shrimp. i would loved to try other things but each item i named, the waiter would say they ran out. as we waited, 43 minute to be exact, our starter arrived. portions was small, but by that time i didnt care and was starving, i took my first bite into the chicken stripe jerk and to my surprise, it was cold, disappointed. next i tried the beef patty, also cold, the taste reminded me of the package of beef patty in the frozen food section in wal-mart. first thing to come in mind was....microwaved? very disappointed, the last starter was the batter shrimp, now that was good and still warm, nothing really special but compare to the last 2 failure, that was a god send. for my main course i chose the curry chicken with season rice and cabbage(now that i mention it, i thought i was suppose to have 3 sides?) the curry chicken was bland, the chicken did came off the bone pretty good, but there was no flavor in it, like boiled chicken with salt. the waiter was pretty polite, not really informative, but was disappointed that he didnt i.d. any of us for drinks, and that we were the only table in the restaurant and he only showed up to order food/drinks, deliver food, and bill. my glass was empty from the starter. a great quote my buddy said at the end was "at least we got the chance to try it out before it goes out of business"
