At Jack's Place at Durand Eastman Park, your dining options are many: eat in the dining room, outdoors, on the outdoor patio, or under the formal tent. Choose from a lunch menu of soups and salads, wraps and paninis (like the chicken and roasted red pepper, vegetarian, and Italian versions), or dinner entrees like pan-roasted chicken or pork chops, almond crusted salmon, and a "veggie stack," which features portabella mushrooms, zucchini, squash, and roasted red peppers served with a balsamic vinagrette and roasted potatoes. A separate banquet menu includes hors 'd' oevres and buffet options. Jack's Place also serves a Sunday "champagne" brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; it's an all-you-can-eat buffet with fresh pastries, meats, mimosas, and more.

Walked in to Jack's Place after reading the nice 4 page menu on their website complete with appetizer, soup, salads steaks, chicken etc. Was seated and given a one page copied menu from Charlie Browns on the green? Yes, we were in Jack’s Place according to the guy playing his guitar. No appetizers, 4 steaks with the options of about 10 seasoning, shrimp, and a pasta buffet. Ordered a steak unseasoned, done medium. Told to help myself to the “salad bar”. This was one large bowl of salad, un-chilled, premade and 2 types of dressing to choose from. If I am going to serve myself, I do not expect a warm salad made to the chef likings. We were told the bread had not arrived yet (5:45 PM?)
Waited 45 minutes for the steaks. Strange, as there was only 1 other table seated when we ordered. Steak was heavily seasoned with pepper and tough. Not even edible. Baked potato served still in the foil, with an out of the box single serving of Crock Spread and a covered plastic container of sour cream. Fine dining at its worse. Left ½ of the steak on the plate. We were comped the cost of our sodas for the delay and missed cooked steak. A total waste of $30.00 That was our first and will be our last visit to Jack’s Place or is it Charlie Brown’s I am still confused over that.

The steak out and all you can eat pasta bar is a Thurs. night special. The 18 oz Delmonico sells at 15.95. It is tender and big and seasoned to your liking, anything you can imagine. It was grilled out back and delicious! I have frequented Thurs. nights and never been disappointed.
