If a restaurant was ever tailor-made and perfectly timed to succeed in its market, it’s the Merchant Street Smokehouse in Brockport. Barbecue has been hot for a decade and particularly in a college town, a sports-crazy college town, a barbecue joint with big TVs was a shoo-in. And so it has been. The food is decent if not distinguished, and crowd-pleasing. It’s loud, though, and not a place for people who don’t care for televised sports.

Overall a pleasant experience. Food takes a while to come out to you. The prices are on average 8-16 dollars. If you go on Friday or Saturday nights they have live music (from what I remember)

Great place to get drunk.

I'm afraid the best thing about this place is the bar. They have a good beer selection. The food is not spectacular and I would also recommend that you not go there during cold weather. I've been there to watch football once and another time in February for dinner and they don't heat the place!

I will not go back. We had a party of 6. The food took so long to come out. It was not as good as other bbq places I've been. The bathroom was filthy. Save your money.
