Peter Geyer has been called the best steakhouse in Rochester, and there are some who believe it rivals the New York City steakhouses. Inside the Brookwood Inn, the restaurant features a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired atmosphere with dark woods, distinctive lighting, and slate fireplaces. Since this is a pricey place, bring those you love and splurge. Choose between one of the great steaks, chops, or fresh surf and turf, particularly the broiled 14 oz Australian lobster tail with the 16 oz NY strip loin and the Guys Steakhouse Salad featuring arugula, parmesan, pears, walnuts and a citrus dressing.

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and have always had a good meal. Tonight we had a less than average meal. The 32oz bone-in ribeye that I always order was more like 16oz. At $44 for that steak I was ripped off and the asparagus side dish was half cooked. Tonight was my last visit to this place. The cost of our meal for a party of 4 with tip was $215 with 1 person only having 2 appetizers and no main course. The steak tasted great and always have, but I know the difference between a 32oz steak and a 16oz steak. This was supposed to be a special meal for us and it just wasn't.
