Pamela Kramer designed the interior with a Van Gogh theme, highlighted by huge murals and many prints. The Flatiron building dates to the same year Van Gogh finished his "Night Café" painting. There are plush couches and a large sidewalk patio. The sandwiches and beverages are nicely done, with a variety of excellent desserts. The style and vibrancy of Starry Nites makes it a key anchor in this ArtWALK neighborhood.

The bagels at Starry Nites are the best! Balsam Bagels are good too, but Starry Nites already has great bagels. Don't change...

Hello,
I don't know if you offer bagels at your cafe. If you do, you should be getting them from Balsam Bagels. We offer the best bagels around. If interested , give me a call. Thank's,

Several choices of sandwich/wrap, etc, including hummus, portobello mushrooms, and a daily quiche.

If your style clashes with their hipster niche market you'll certainly be well informed.

They make mistakes once in a bit but are very quick to fix them. Food is good. What art district coffee shop and eatery doesn't have their prices. I think the prices are expected for the location. Overall I love it there. Oh and they have a nice little wine list that is perfectly priced. Great music on Thursdays and beautiful out side seating during the summer. Nice place to study too.

We've gone here often over the years and I have to disagree with many of the negative comments. This is a traditional cafe with cafe service so don't expect servers hovering over you. We enjoy the fresh, simple menu and the atmosphere is vibrant yet still manages to pull off intimate. I don't share "hipster niche market" opinion. Actually, I find the crowd quite diverse; urban, chic, scruffy, studious, conversational, moms and dads, couples, singles. This is one of the things I enjoy. Weekend music usually draws a crowd. A nice place to end the evening where you aren't blasted with amps and beer breath.

I go here pretty often, and almost always receive excellent service. The baristas are even downright friendly. The frozen chocolate chai will change your life, and the white chicken chili is absolutely delicious. One of my favorite spots in the city.

Okay coffee and food -- but overpriced. Customer service is spotty, a few people behind the counter are very nice and attentive, others treat you like you're a bother. Overall.. "meh".

Great location, crappy service. If you feel like paying too much for a latte, waiting around while they screw up your order and have to make it over again (while getting irritated at you for catching the mistake) -- it's the place to be.

A great spot for lunch or just a cup of coffee any time of year. I'm in love with their chicken salad (light, nutty and sweet) and despite my best attempts I can't seem to recreate it. The atmosphere is incredibly chill and always friendly. Also one of my favorite spots in the city.
