The Pie Lady sounds like she could be your mom. This independent bakery started at a farmer's market, and moved on to a space in Fairport. The pies are deep-dish (9") and the fruit pies (with crumb or plain top crusts) come with fillings like triple berry, Concord grape, apple, and rhubarb. Cream pies include lemon meringue, French silk chocolate, and banana cream varieties. Specialty pies like banana split (a vanilla-filled pie topped with pineapple, strawberries, bananas, and garnished with everything you'd find on a sundae), peanut butter pie, and homemade mincemeat pie are also available. The Pie Lady also bakes up treats like sugar-free pies, mini pies, tarts, coffeecakes, sweet breads, buckles (vanilla sweet bread topped with apples and cinnamon, cherries, or blueberries), Lintzers, muffins, bubble breads, and soon, a line of cheesecakes, too.
