Yumbo's features homemade Southern dishes and sauces with a Rochester flavor. Beef and pork barbeque sandwiches are served on warm rolls, including grilled sandwiches such as the Mock-chester (grilled sirloin or ground beef topped with melted cheese, onions, yellow mustard and hot sauce, served with mac salad and fries) and the vegetarian Southern Belle (marinated, sautéed portabellas, garlic-roasted red peppers, lettuce, mayo, and garlic-herb spread served on French bread). Platters such as chicken-fried chicken (served with chicken gravy) and blackened grouper (Fridays only) come with two sides and a hot biscuit. Specialty appetizers include Memphis nachos (pulled pork, cheese sauce, bbq sauce, and jalapenos), fried green tomatoes, and from-scratch gumbo and soup of the day. Catering available.
