If you conduct a concert and if you think that the concert was good that should only be the view for yourself. You should not depend on others for views as everyone opinion is different.
I saw him at Hatch hall. I thought he was super.
I just heard the concert tonight (Saturday). I do not agree with the above review, Especially regarding the performance of the Violin Concerto. I have performed this concerto many times. Quint's phrasing was odd and uncomfortable to listen to. His playing was not in the Romantic style. I regret to say that although his playing was extremely virtuosic, it was at the same time rather messy. I was so looking forward to hearing the Saint-Saens, but I was disappointed with his rendition. He had many intonation issues and his tempos were all over the place. The slow sections in the first movement were too slow and the slow movement was too fast as were the slow sections in the third movement. Also, Quint sped up and slowed down in places that were inappropriate. That is why neither the orchestra nor the conductor could follow him exactly all of the time. On the contrary, I thought that the RPO did a wonderful job with both pieces on the first half! Unfortunately, I could not stay for the second half.
Great band. Seen them at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC back in December. Tunes are catchy and uplifting. On the level of Coldplay, U2, Radiohead but with a newer twist and direction. Captivating.
What a great band and a great group of guys. I'm excited to hear the new stuff and can't wait for the show. Keep it up guys! Bring some CD's and stickers and whatnot this time.
Dude I feel it too! Riiiiiighteousss.

Thank you for the kind words. It was great fun.
BC LIKES CITY!
Thank you City Newspaper!
These guys are a great! I've seen them plenty of times and every time is a blast.
Matt: Those seem like pretty solid bets, I agree. Whether you like or loathe Lana Del Rey, "Young and Beautiful" was such an integral part of "The Great Gatsby"'s music that I'll be surprised if it isn't nominated as well. After that, I'll be intrigued if Coldplay nabs a spot for "Atlas," I've heard "The Butler" has several original songs (but I haven't seen it yet), and then there's always one that shows up outta left field that's usually the best, most interesting one. ;)
"Let It Go" has to win Best Original Song come Oscar time. Either that or "I See Fire" from "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."
hard to find show times.
Last-minute lineup change: Tin Can Set (facebook.com/tincanset) will open the show - Grey Zine won't be playing.
Fowls' debut album will be available for the first time at this show: http://www.bettyelmrecords.com/stream-tracks-from-fowls-into-the-wild/

Going to be a great Saturday night at Abilene ... the Younger Gang at 7, Ruckus Juice Jug Stompers' Fifth Anniversary Bash starting around 8:30,
Sorry Stone, Mr. Deblase is absolutely right. If you think the Kenny Chesney concert you saw was legit Country, God Bless Ya! Good for you. I'm glad you had fun and I'm glad you like music. To each his own. But Kenny Chesney is basically Britney Spears with a cowboy hat on. I'm glad you had a good time holding your girlfriend or boyfriends hand during the show. Like I said. To each his own. ROCK ON FRANK!!!
