Caught The Mighty High and Dry at Abilene recently, really fine band.
I love this album!!!! BEST EVER!!!
How did I not know about this? Gah! Out of town tomorrow. FVCK all. People, get out and see these guys.
yo Frank if you're going to write an article about us, next time make sure you have no bias; "juvenile humor for booger-eating morons drenched in soda pop," really ? because you know us personally, right? The sarcasm you display throughout this article is very apparent. While you might think of it as a joke, think of "us" the fam, as a joke, we still are human and deserve respect.

And I thought Green Day was the irrelevant garage band... oh well, to each their own!
Lol, "irrelevant garage band" you clearly have no idea who The Driftwood Sailors are. Maybe you should do some research before calling names, @summatime.
I've seen many wanting to NOT like Green Day, but then converted at one of their concerts. I know I'm biased (because I've always liked their music), but a better live show you will not see.
At least Frank actually attended the concert. Unlike the so-called entertainment critic from the D&C.
You can check out J.J.'s music at www.jjlang.com.

poor review.... the concert rocked and was well orchestrated. The audience loved to be involved and it is nice to see a band who is NOT all about themselves but acknowledge that they are there because of their fan base. I came to see Green Day and I was not disappointing. Green Day is one of those band that you love or hate. Clearly you stated where you stand......
I came hear to read a review of a Green Day concert, not about a bunch of irrelevant garage bands you peruse on the weekend cause you have nothing else to do but hey, it's all in good fun, right?
Have you ever been to northland village? You should go to Northland Village. Its a great place. Not too hard to find.
I like the Anderson Stingrays. They were asked to play the show by Joe Queer and that really says a lot. I think these guys rule.
For those who won't be attending Friday's RPO concert, stop by Nazareth College Arts Center when the Pipes and Drums of the Black Watch 3rd Battalion (the Royal Regiments of Scotland) and the Band of the Scots Guards present a program entitled British Isles of Wonder, celebrating the music of Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales. The program will also include an armed forces tribute. The show starts at 8 p.m.; artscenter.naz.edu.

Too bad they got the original opener booted off the bill.
Anderson Stingrays are literally the worst band in town. I love pop punk, and they are horrible at it. Teenage Bottlerocket and Masked Intruder are far and away the best bands on this show, and they barely get a mention?
matt and kim didnt play lesson learned last night!!!!
Re: “Concert Review: The Slackers, Mikaela Davis, The Smithereens, Big Sandy”
It is shameful when a reporter reviewing a concert doesn't know the spelling of the artist's name. And, to stoop to the low class level of mentioning a person's weight when reviewing their talent is just stupid and mean. He is an amazing singer and songwriter and deserves respect.
