Bravo to all in Rochester for your hard work and artistic photographic talents shared with our community. Try to find the time to give the Regional and Local Bands some attention and take some more photos. As you know...there is a huge, depth of talent in the area. We are the ground breakers in new music but have few outlets to perform in and to get paid fairly to do it. Kind of like being a photographer in Rochester...
An old geezer from Mic and the Anglos ( Craig R. Moffitt 1981- 1987 )
And don't forget Steve Czubara -- this Rochester-based music photographer holds a special place for Peter Gabriel fans: http://www.steveczubara.com/#!music-3
Best gigs of all time... when Seth/Quankmeyer/Dufus & co were doing the weekly Funderwhere shows every Saturday at midnight at Surf Reality in NYC... anybody who was at any of those will attest it was consistently mind-blowing! People looking for an intro should check out the albums "1:3:1" and "Last Classed Blast".
intergalactic cult leader, based in rochester, ny
Looks like another hipster band to me, if you want to hear legit rock check out "bouncing betty ", also from rochester
Keep on freeing up the rock world.
Sounds calculating and self absorbed. name dropping and a pretty transparant bid to find a rich benefactor. Get a life
Thanks a ton City Newspaper! I love the article....
If you haven't been to a Faergolzia you haven't truly lived. DO IT!!
Frank, Little Steven loves to play the Rolling Stones in their garage band phase. From their second american LP titled 12x5 there is a kick butt song (my favorite) that I have only heard him play on his show. The title is "Empty Heart"......(is like an empty lie...).
That's where I believe the band's name came from.
Been watching Greg play guitar since we were teenagers. He makes us proud AND makes us dance back home in Rochester.
Great article. Greg is one of the musicians I miss after leaving Rochester. Best of luck in all your endeavors, Greg!!
Greg is one of my favorite people in the world. It's SO good to see all his success. To the toppermost of the poppermost with Greg!
Robert Rudolph and the Family Band play on Friday, not Saturday ... http://www.rochesterevents.com/festivals-events/big-rib-bbq-blues-fest/concert-schedule
Interdisciplinary studies with music and the other arts like dance and film is nothing new in the academic world or around Rochester. Nazareth, Brockport, and Roberts have been actively creating interdisciplinary art works for a number of years. The Eastman has a long history of failing to be innovative.
Hard working, talented young people.
Great band, wonderful people.
This is an awesome band if u ever get a chance to hear them, DO IT! And Jenna is an awesome singer!!!
Ben Bruton builds guitars?!
Our mistake. The mixing engineer The Heroic Enthusiasts contact was *Mick Guzauski,* a Rochester native who worked on Daft Punk's latest album "Random Access Memories."
