Jinkx was brilliant, funny, intelligent, all around a star. So thrilled she won. This my first year watching, I'm hooked because of Jinkx. The courtroom theme was hilarious because of Jinkx and Alaska, I could watch it many more times.

What a wonderful review. I'm thrilled to have been a part of this wonderful book. Both Danny and Bill were my dear friends. Thank you Rebecca for these wonder ful words for my friends. Bill has created an amazing tribute in this book. And bringing Dans work back to life is a dream we've all been waiting for. Thank you thank you

I could care less about this show, and only tuned in to watch David Cook. I liked the song a LOT and thought his performance was definitely the best of the night. The stomp-clap breakdown in the middle was great. Even Keith Urban was digging it. Not even going to comment on will.i.am.not.a.singer. I also love Harry C. jr but agree..that song was zzzzzzzzz.

I have the pleasure of having Bill in my life and so greatful to know this wonderful man! I have read the book and laughed and cried! He is a great man and the artist Danny Allan was a great talented artist who would never have been acknowledged without Bill!

I am trying to think of a situation similar to Kree in past seasons. Where a performer is amazing in the beginning and just seems to fall apart toward the end. I don't know if she's exhausted, is tired of the alleged producer manipulation, homesick, or what, but she hasn't been "there" for a while now. It's worrisome. I think she has great potential but she is not doing herself any post-show favors right now. She looks miserable up there, even when she's singing.
Amber very well could -- and should -- go on to great things. She just has to find the right management. Unfortunately that has been the weakest component of this show for quite a while.

I know!! I cry at the strangest things but I cried last night watching Amber try and get through that song. I am comforted knowing/hoping that producers out there are on the phone to her now. I think she has a gorgeous voice (her's the best in the train wreck opener last night) and is marketable in every way.
Kree: that is a really good point Eric. Something is very wrong. She doesn't strike me as the sort of person who gets nervous or stressed out etc. I would love to see her singing like crazy the way she did in the beginning.
Yeah, I second that about Wil.I.am. and i hate when people spell words like that. Harry Connick Junior has always been a total babe but that song was terrible.
Totally happy to see Candice there and not surprised to see Angie as I think she has the AI Machine behind her. ( altho I appear to be the only person who doesn't 'hear' what she has to offer.)

Kirk: I just want to clarify, I don't think Angie "deserves to go home on the basis of one night." I think Angie is very talented -- I think all of the Final 4 are. I do think she turned in the weakest overall performance last night, however. And at this point, I feel like they are all on mostly equal ground, with Candice slightly ahead and probably Amber slightly behind (but only because she's just not getting the votes for some reason). But please do not think I am attempting to disparage Angie in any way. I think she's terrific. But somebody has to go tonight, and I think all three other girls had at least one performance that beat both of hers.

I don't think Clara being River and The Doctor's daughter would be appropriate (mainly because they've kissed). The Doctor went back to her parents to see how they met and how Clara grew up. She seemed perfectly normal. The TARDIS may not have bothered with women before because he wasn't... "married" in his timeline. However, now he has another girl who isn't River or Amy (his mother-in-law) and the TARDIS is not amused.
To address point 7 in the list, the voices were all taken from previous Doctors, both from the classic and new series, listen carefully and you'll notice. Now, the Big Bad isn't clear or obvious but it must be related to The Silence because we know the season has to end with his name being revealed before we hit the 50th anniversary special. The Silence is a movement. We don't know its founder yet. We know only of the members. For all we know, it could be The Great Intelligence who is behind all of it. Although it would make little sense since The Silence wants to avoid the answer and the Great Intelligence would most likely seek it out. However, why would his name be so important? Furthermore, why would the TARDIS let Clara into the library where she immediately found out his true name? The episode made it a point to show that the TARDIS lets you go where she wants you to go. The plot thickens.
There is at least one thing that we should consider, his name must be meaningful to us. It cannot be something like "John Smith" because it would just be that... a name. Why hide your name if it doesn't mean anything to anyone? His name means something and something he may not even be proud of. Why else would River have said "I'm sorry, I'm so very sorry" before whispering his name to him while dealing with the Vashta Nerada?
hmm... that makes me think of a possible answer, but it's all still speculation... by the way, who could've possibly written the book about the Time War? I thought no one got out but The Doctor so how can a finished book survive without its author having finished it? Also... how is it that the author knows The Doctor's true name if no one but The Doctor himself knows? As I understood it, not even the time lords knew... is the author The Doctor?
...now I won't be able to sleep peacefully.

Anyone who thinks Angie should go home on the basis of one night should never comment on music again. If we had finalized the voting for last week, Candice could be going home. Is there anyone in the entire universe who thinks Candice should be going home now? GG.

Mariah is actually the voice of reason if you get past her "blathering." She saw the potential in Candice over a month ago. It was so wonderful to finally hear Harry call Randy out on his nonsense. Randy and Nicki just talk to talk. Keith is a little cheesy, but like Mariah, he hits on the technicalities. I'd love to see Harry, Keith, and Mariah on the pannel next year.
As for the girls, a clear winner emerged tonight (as if it wasn't already obvious): Candice. Angie and Amber should be next to go, but hopefully Angie first.

I have read Bill Whiting's book "An Early Work Late In Life", and it did indeed scorch my heart and move my soul. Ms. Rafferty's review and interpretations about the book are spot-on. I had the opportunity to participate as a friend in Mr. Whiting's final approach to his publication and the concurrent debut at MAG's art opening in March of this year. It was a stunning constellation of fears, hopes and bewilderment at the power and responsibilities inherent in book publishing amid personal angst. But Bill has emerged unscathed and the stronger for his experience. It boggles the mind that, a short twelve months ago, this endeavor was not even on his radar screen. And I would bet my signed first edition that in April 2012, "Sunny Ducks" by Danny Allen was still deep in its Rumpelstiltskin slumber, safe in the archival tissue Bill had wrapped it in forty years ago, so dark the vault.

Clara being River and the Doctor's daughter is interesting, but I feel like that's too easy.
I also caught Christopher Eccelston's voice when that salvage crew member got shocked. My husband mentioned about the "Smiths" key that he thought he's called himself Smith once or twice in the past. Maybe to hide who he was for a purpose.
I think the feet we saw were the Doctor's. Maybe that's why he popped up so quickly.
I agree with Deb that I think the Doctor remembers the whole event because he kept asking Clara if she felt safe.
