The flagship location of Lyjha Wilton’s local mini-chain, Boulder Coffee Co. at Alexander Street and South Clinton Avenue is a great spot to while away some time reading, internetting, digging a band, or gabbing over locally roasted coffee, cocktails, and nibbles like soups, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods. There’s a large patio area, and on Thursday afternoons in the summer the Boulder parking lot hosts the South Wedge Farmers’ Market.
From the outside SPoT Coffee looks like a really classy Chevy dealership thanks to its protected Art Deco facade, but inside the Rochester outpost of this growing Buffalo-based chain features sleek leather sofas and love seats that give the airy ground-floor space and the secluded balcony a polished, modern feel. It should come as no shock that SPoT is a spot for coffee and espresso drinks, but there’s also breakfast items, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, and, of course, dessert, whether it’s a decadent slice of cake or some dunkable biscotti.
