Also known as the Bistro at Towpath Café, this eatery in Fairport’s Box Factory Building, offers cozy seating on the inside and ample canalside seating in season. The menu is an eclectic one that offers three squares, with breakfast sammies, omelets, and pancakes in the a.m., plus snacks, salads, wraps, burgers, pizzas, and entrée specials the rest of the day. There are, of course, coffee, beer, and wine, as well as desserts and, on some nights, live music.
There are 48 beers on tap at the Firehouse Saloon, and any one of them should be able to help wash down the deep-fried menu, which features bar stars like pizza logs, jalapeño poppers, fried clam strips, a pound of tater tots, or chicken wings, available with several different sauces. Daily specials and live music, too!

Straight outta Syracuse, the second location in the growing Dinosaur Bar-B-Que empire serves up the quintessentially American cuisine from the tricked-out 1905 Lehigh Valley Train Station that overlooks the Genesee River. That means ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork, all done low and slow, as well as a slew of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and sides. Cold beer, fun cocktails, and free live music; what else could you want?
You don’t need to know your birdies from your bogeys to dine at The Argyle Grill; you just need to be craving soups, salads, burgers, pizza, and bar-food favorites, along with a few entrées, including an everyday fish fry and a Saturday prime rib special.
